Job Description

The Branch Channel Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient operation of our bank's branch network. This individual oversees the daily activities, administration, and control measures within the branch to guarantee prompt and reliable service delivery in support of market activities.

This role involves ensuring adherence to banking regulations, internal policies, procedures, and service standards. The successful candidate will be responsible for building customer loyalty and satisfaction through effective client relationship management, sales activities, and product cross-selling.

In addition, this position entails governance, control, and risk management responsibilities, including assuming the duties of the Branch Service Officer when necessary and overseeing the secure management of vault/safe combinations, keys, and system passwords.

The Branch Channel Manager is also accountable for mitigating the risk of fraud and/or irregularities by conducting surprise audits of cash accountabilities, numbered forms, items held in trust, and safekeeping. Furthermore, they must report covered and suspicious transactions, irregularities, and frauds in a timely manner.

This role requires excellent leadership and management skills, as the Branch Channel Manager oversees the overall operations of the branches in all channels of service distribution. They are responsible for monitoring queuing and SQD data, evaluating staffing needs, movements, training, and performance of channel personnel, and providing guidance on applicable rules, updates, policies, and procedures.

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prepare and execute identified action items related to key performance indicators such as the Monthly Profitability Ratio (MPR), Branch Competency Rating (BCR), Operating Expense (OPEX), QA-BERM (Quality Assurance-Branch Evaluation on Risk Management) Surprise Visit Reports, and other service/operating standards.
