Key Responsibilities:

1. New Accounts/Business Development:

  • Conduct comprehensive market research to identify potential clients and new business opportunities.
  • Proactively generate leads through various channels, including cold calling, networking events, and industry associations.
  • Develop and execute effective strategies to secure new business and consistently meet sales targets.
  • Prepare and deliver persuasive sales presentations to potential clients.

2. Client Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key clients and accounts.
  • Regularly engage with clients to understand their transportation needs and provide customized solutions.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring excellent customer service and satisfaction.

3. Strategic Partnership:

  • Identify and establish strategic partnerships with other businesses to expand service offerings.
  • Collaborate with internal team members, such as operations, to ensure seamless service delivery to clients.

4. Market Intelligence:

  • Stay abreast of industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities.
  • Analyze market data and customer feedback to identify areas for improvement and innovation.
  • Provide valuable insights to the management team to drive business decisions.

KRA/KPI

Sales Targets - Achieve and exceed sales targets and revenue goals set by the company.

New Accounts - Expand the customer base by acquiring new clients and developing existing accounts. Provides detailed and accurate Pipeline/Sales Forecasts.

Gross Profit Margin - Ensure profitability by maintaining a gross profit margin

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (MBA is a plus).

Proven track record of success in business development and sales within the trucking and logistics industry.

Strong networking and relationship-building skills.

5 or more years of experience in Consultative and Solution Selling in Trucking, CY Services, Warehousing, and Projects.

In-depth knowledge of the transportation and logistics industry, including market trends and competition.

Excellent communication and presentation abilities.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced industry.
