HR Supervisor

Job Summary: The HR Supervisor oversees human resources operations, ensuring alignment with Mempin Group of Companies' standards. This role is responsible for implementing HR strategies, managing recruitment, employee relations, compliance, and fostering a positive work environment. Reports directly to company's General Manager with secondary reporting to the MGOC HR Manager.
1. Recruitment & Staffing
● Collaborate with department managers to assess staffing needs.
● Supervise the entire recruitment process, including job postings, candidate screening, and interviews.
● Prepares announcement of new hires
● Endorses new hire/s to his designated department
● Conducts Exit Interview for resigned employees (basis for Annual Attrition Report)
2. Employee Relations
● Address employee grievances, disputes, and conflicts fairly and promptly.
● Refers more complex questions to appropriate staff or management
● Implement initiatives to boost employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention.
● Administer disciplinary actions in compliance with company policies and labor laws.
● Monitor legal actions taken.
3. Performance Management
● Oversee performance evaluations to ensure consistency and fairness.
● Support managers with performance improvement plans and career development initiatives.
4. Training & Development
● Suggest training programs to address identified organizational needs to the MGOC HR Department.
● Coordinate and assist in the implementation of approved training programs.
5. HR Policy & Compliance
● Suggest updates and improvements to HR policies to the MGOC HR in alignment with legal requirements and company standards.
● Ensure adherence to approved HR policies and labor regulations within assigned entities.
6. Compensation & Benefits
● Oversee salary reviews, adjustments, and benefits programs, including health insurance and perks.
● Collaborate with the Accounting/Treasury department to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.
● Assess employees' concerns/queries on their payroll/statutory benefits.
7. Health, Safety & Wellbeing
● Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety regulations.
● Keep informed with local and national government's health safety guidelines
8. Leadership & Team Management
● Lead and mentor the HR team, fostering professional growth and alignment with HR objectives.
● Collaborate with senior management and department heads to provide HR guidance and support.
9. Reporting to MGOC HR and Management
● Provide regular updates and reports on HR metrics, activities, and challenges within the assigned entities.
● Attend weekly management meetings and present HR Updates
● Ensure that all decisions, implementations, and policies are aligned with directives from the MGOC HR.
● Coordinate with MGOC HR to ensure consistent application of company-wide initiatives and strategies.
10. DOLE Compliance
● Ensures all DOLE compliances are observed and complete (eg. First Aider Certificate, Safety Officers, DOLE Workplace Policies.)
Job Specification (Qualifications)
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field.
A minimum of three (3) years of human resource management experience is preferred.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
Proficiency in HRIS and MS Office applications.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
In-depth understanding of Philippine labor laws, employee relations, and HR compliance.
Familiarity with payroll processing, timekeeping, and government statutory compliance.
Detail-oriented, organized, and results-driven.
High level of integrity and professionalism.
Willingness to travel between company locations as needed.
