Scope of Role

The Key Accounts Executive – Industrial is responsible for driving business growth across the food manufacturing sector, with a particular focus on snacks and confectionery alongside other key segments like processed foods, dairy, and beverages. This role involves building and nurturing client relationships, uncovering new market opportunities, and supporting product development efforts to meet evolving customer demands.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Achieve Sales Targets
    • Drive the achievement of sales objectives for OFI Food Solutions' Industrial division. This includes managing relationships with key clients in the following industries, but not limited to, snack and bakery manufacturers, biscuit and confectionery producers, and other food manufacturing industries.
  2. Generate New Business and Manage Existing Accounts
    • Actively prospect and generate new sales leads.
    • Visit clients, deliver compelling product presentations, and maintain strong relationships with existing accounts through regular follow-up and courtesy visits.
  3. Market Research and Strategy Development
    • Assist in market research to identify new trends, competitors, and potential client opportunities.
    • Develop and implement strategies for effective market penetration and client acquisition.
  4. Cross-Selling and Relationship Management
    • Maintain strong business relationships across various product categories.
    • Identify opportunities for cross-selling and up-selling OFI Food Solutions products to existing clients.
  5. Client Feedback and Product Development
    • Collect feedback from clients on product samples and collaborate closely with the Product Design team for necessary improvements or adjustments based on client preferences.
  6. Customer Support and Coordination
    • Provide customer support by coordinating product development and improvements.
    • Liaise with the Business Development team for ingredient sourcing and any other customer-specific needs.
  7. Order and Delivery Coordination
    • Collaborate with the support team to ensure smooth order processing, timely deliveries, and accurate tracking of all purchase orders.
  8. Marketing Support Coordination
    • Work closely with the Marketing Team to provide clients with requested marketing support, including promotional materials and brand-related activities.
  9. Credit and Collection Coordination
    • Coordinate with the Sales Control team to ensure timely credit checks and collections for both new and existing clients.
  10. Product Training and Demonstrations
    • Deliver product training sessions and demonstrations to clients, as required, to ensure optimal product understanding and utilization.

Job Requirements

  • Educational Background:
    • A Bachelor's/College Degree in Business Studies, Administration, Management, Commerce, Marketing, Food Technology, Chemistry, or other related fields.
  • Experience:
    • At least 3 years of relevant experience in sales or a related field.
    • Prior sales experience in the food manufacturing industry is highly preferred.
  • Skills & Competencies:
    • Strong team player with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
    • Excellent time-management skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
    • Proven organizational skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving and project management.
    • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and Google applications.
  • Communication:
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to present information clearly and effectively to both internal teams and clients.
    • Excellent presentation skills, with the ability to engage and persuade clients.
    • Mandarin-speaking ability is a plus to support client engagements.
