Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in sourcing and evaluating suppliers to ensure quality, competitive pricing, and timely delivery.
  • Review the purchase request received to ensure descriptions and specifications are accurate and complete.
  • Request quotations and compare supplier offers based on price, quality, and service terms.
  • Prepare and process purchase orders (POs) in accordance with company policies.
  • Follow up on order status with suppliers to ensure timely delivery.
  • Maintain accurate purchasing records and update supplier databases.
  • Assist in resolving issues related to delayed shipments, damaged goods, or incorrect orders.
  • Monitor inventory levels and report shortages to avoid disruptions in operations.
  • Support vendor negotiations and maintain strong supplier relationships.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies, contracts, and company standards.
  • Provide assistance to Purchasing Officers on purchasing-related transactions, as needed.
