Guidicelli Food Group, Inc. is looking for a Purchasing Officer to join our growing team. This role is key to ensuring that our company sources only the best-quality ingredients, packaging, and supplies at the right price and time. The Purchasing Officer will manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and help maintain the smooth flow of our food operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Source and evaluate suppliers of raw materials, packaging, equipment, and services for the company.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and delivery terms to ensure cost efficiency and quality.
  • Monitor stock levels and coordinate with inventory/warehouse teams for timely replenishment.
  • Build and sustain strong vendor relationships to ensure reliability and compliance.
  • Conduct market research to anticipate price fluctuations, shortages, or risks in the supply chain.
  • Ensure all purchasing activities comply with internal policies, budgets, and food safety regulations.
  • Review and process purchase orders, invoices, and supporting documents accurately.
  • Assist with audits and compliance checks related to procurement and supplier management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field (preferred).
  • Minimum of 2–3 years' experience in procurement or purchasing, preferably in the food and beverage/FMCG industry.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills.
  • Familiarity with food safety and regulatory requirements (HACCP, FDA, or local equivalents) is a plus.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
