The Managerial Accounting Specialist aids managerial planning and commercial decision-making tasks by providing appropriate, relevant and timely financial information. He/she assists the Section Manager / Controller in giving advice or technical assistance to the General Manager or Top Management about the financial implications of business decisions to aid growth and profit and to achieve its organizational goals.

Responsibilities of a Management Accounting Specialist include the following but not limited to:

  1. Assist the Controller in helping the business manage process and controls, steering the business performance, drive profitable growth and sharpen business investments.
  2. Prepares and analyzes weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual management reports and commentaries (Profit and Loss Analysis, other management reports)
  3. Analyzes variances and explores potential problems.
  4. Assists Controller in preparing annual budget, planning and forecasting of business performance.
  5. Assists Controller in analyzing accounting reports at a more detailed level such as profit by product, product line, customer and geographic region.
  6. Assists Section Manager / Controller in determining bottlenecks of operations and various ways to enhance profits by resolving bottleneck issues.
  7. Helps Section Manager / Controller in conducting and analyzing researches and developing strategies that can help the company lower cost or boost profit and growth.
  8. Monitors monthly spending and drills down costs that may potentially affect the profit.
  9. Periodic coordination with Marketing and sales and other appropriate parties to ensure achievement of volume and revenue targets.
  10. Develops and manages financial systems/policies or "standard templates" in order to improve efficiency and timeliness.
  11. Other functions deemed necessary to help the finance/accounting department of Emerging Business Division deliver its purposes and achieve its goals.
