JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • With Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) is required.
  • Additional certification in Occupational Health Nursing (COHN), Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment or a related field is a plus.
  • Certification on Basic Occupational Safety and Health (BOSH)
  • Fresh Graduates are welcome
  • Experience in HR functions, including employee wellness and benefits management, is preferred.
  • Having a strong knowledge of occupational health, safety standards, and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Occupational Health Management:
  • Conduct health assessments, screenings, and evaluations for employees.
  • Manage workplace injuries, illnesses, and return-to-work programs.
  • Coordinate with occupational health providers and insurance companies for employee care.
  • Maintain and update employee health records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA and other relevant regulations.
  • Monitor workplace conditions to prevent health hazards and ensure safety standards are met.
  • Monitoring of illness and sick leaves of employees.
  • Conduct Home Visits when needed e.g. for employee 3 days not reporting to work due to sickness.
  • Employee Wellness Programs:
  • Develop and implement wellness programs aimed at improving employee health and well-being.
  • Conduct health education and promotion activities, such as workshops, seminars, and health fairs.
  • Collaborate with external healthcare providers to offer health services and screenings on-site.
  • Health and Safety Compliance:
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations, including OSHA and local health codes.
  • Develop and update health-related policies and procedures in collaboration with the HR team.
  • Conduct workplace inspections and audits to identify potential health risks and recommend corrective actions.
  • HR Support:
  • Assist HR in managing employee leave of absence, including FMLA, short-term disability, and other health-related leaves.
  • Provide guidance to employees regarding health benefits, workers' compensation, and wellness programs.
  • Coordinate HMO services, including enrollment, claims processing, and liaison between employees and HMO providers.
  • Oversee the administration of other health-related employee benefits, such as life insurance and EAP (Employee Assistance Programs).
  • Participate in employee relations and counseling sessions as a healthcare advocate.
  • Training and Education:
  • Train employees on health and safety practices, including emergency response procedures.
  • Educate employees about the importance of preventive care and healthy lifestyle choices.
  • Support the HR team in training new employees on company health policies and procedures.
