AU RTO Instructional Designer (Remote)
Background
  • One of our amazing clients in the education sector is building their learning design team — and they need YOU. If you're a detail-driven Instructional Designer with strong RTO experience, this role is your chance to create high-quality, compliant learning experiences that genuinely help students succeed.
About the Role
  • You'll take ownership of designing, structuring, and rolling out courses that align with training package requirements. From mapping units of competency to building SCORM-compliant content in Articulate Rise and configuring in aXcelerate, you'll be the go-to for both design and compliance.
Your Key Responsibilities:
  • Map training packages to clear learning outcomes.
  • Storyboard courses and assessments with logical sequencing.
  • Build interactive eLearning content in Articulate Rise (quizzes, media, scenarios).
  • Develop compliant assessment tools mapped to units (knowledge + practical).
  • Export SCORM/xAPI packages and test in aXcelerate.
  • Configure courses, enrollments, and workflows in aXcelerate.
  • Run internal QA to ensure compliance with ASQA, CRICOS, and VSL standards.
  • Support course launches with trainer briefings and student guides.
Requirements

About YOU

  • You're process-driven, quality-obsessed, and comfortable balancing creativity with compliance.
  • You know the regulations inside-out and thrive on building content that's not only engaging but also bulletproof under audit.
About YOUR Work History
  • 5+ years in instructional design, with RTO compliance experience.
  • Skilled in Articulate Rise and LMS/SMS tools (preferably aXcelerate).
  • Strong background in assessment design and validation.
  • Proven project management and stakeholder collaboration.
