Key responsibilities
- Payroll processing:
- Process monthly payroll accurately and on time, including calculations for salary, wages, bonuses, and deductions.
- Ensure compliance with local, tax regulations.
- Manage and remit statutory contributions and payments promptly.
- HR support:
- Act as a point of contact for employees regarding payroll and basic HR queries.
- Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
- Support other HR functions such as compensation, benefits, and employee welfare.
- Reporting and compliance:
- Prepare and distribute payroll and management reports.
- Liaise with external bodies like government departments or authorities as needed.
- Ensure all payroll processes and records comply with internal standards and statutory requirements.
Qualifications and skills
- Education: A bachelor's degree in Human Resources or Business Administration is often required
- Experience: Prior experience in HR or administrative positions is frequently necessary.
- Skills: Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills are crucial. A good understanding of employment laws and HR software systems is also important.
