Core responsibilities

  • Mediation and conflict resolution: Serve as a neutral mediator to resolve disputes between employees or between employees and management.
  • Investigation: Conduct thorough investigations into employee complaints, misconduct, and grievances, ensuring confidentiality and impartiality.
  • Policy and compliance: Ensure company policies are up-to-date and in line with labor laws, providing guidance on how to apply them fairly.
  • Employee support: Provide counseling and support to employees on various issues and inform them about company benefits and programs.
  • Training and development: Develop and deliver training sessions for employees and managers on topics such as performance, conduct, and employee relations best practices.
  • Program development: Design and implement employee relations programs to promote employee engagement and a positive workplace culture.
  • Record keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed records of all employee relations activities and employee data.

Required skills and qualifications

  • Knowledge of employment law: Strong understanding of local employment laws and regulations is essential.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective counseling, negotiation, and documentation.
  • Interpersonal skills: Ability to build rapport, maintain confidentiality, and handle sensitive situations with discretion and empathy.
  • Problem-solving: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills to address complex issues.
  • Organizational skills: Strong organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple cases and detailed records.
  • Experience: Typically requires a bachelor's degree in a relevant field like human resources, and several years of experience in HR or employee relations.

Job Type: Full-time
