
HR Officer

The HR Officer supports the day‐to‐day HR operations which includes recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, payroll/benefits administration, compliance with labor laws, and assisting with performance management and training programs. The role works closely with both field / production staff and administrative / management functions.
Key Responsibilities/Duties:
- Recruitment and Onboarding
- Prepare and post job advertisements; screen applications.
- Coordinate interviews, conduct initial interviews if required.
- Prepare employment contracts, pre‐employment requirements (medical, background checks).
- Conduct orientation of new hires (safety, company policies, plant rules).
- Employee Records & HR Administration
- Maintain and update personnel files (201 files), attendance / leave records, timekeeping, shifts, overtime.
- Keep HR database / HRIS updated.
- Prepare reports (e.g., employee headcount, turnover, absenteeism).
- Payroll & Benefits Support
- Prepare payroll inputs (timesheets, allowances, overtime) and coordinate with payroll team.
- Administer statutory benefits (SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG) and any company benefits.
- Assist with resolving payroll/benefits issues raised by employees.
- Employee Relations & Compliance
- Assist in handling employee grievances and conflicts; mediation and follow up.
- Enforce company policies / disciplinary procedures.
- Ensure compliance with applicable Philippine labor laws, safety standards, and regulations relevant to manufacturing (e.g. DOLE, BWC, etc.).
- Performance Management & Training
- Help administer performance evaluation cycles.
- Coordinate training needs – skills / safety / quality trainings.
- Monitor training records.
- Support HR Projects and Continuous Improvement
- Assist HR Manager in HR policy updates, HR projects (e.g. employee engagement, culture building, HR automation).
- Participate in audits of HR processes / files.
- Suggest process improvements.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field.
- Typically 1-3 years HR experience (for full HR Officer) — more for senior HR Officer role. Experience in manufacturing is a plus.
- Familiarity with Philippine labor law, payroll, statutory benefits.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to handle confidential info.
- Basic computer skills (MS Office, especially Excel); prior experience with HRIS is a plus.
- Ability to work under pressure; good with deadlines; ability to interact with field/production staff.
