About the role

AHD Advance Communication System, Inc. is seeking an experienced Purchasing Officer to join our team in our office in Makati City, Metro Manila. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for overseeing the procurement of materials, services and equipment required to support the efficient operations of our manufacturing and logistics divisions.

What you'll be doing

  • Source and negotiate with suppliers for materials, tools, and services related to telecom infrastructure or construction projects.
  • Process purchase orders in line with project timelines and company budget.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with warehouse teams to avoid material shortages or overstocking.
  • Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and project specifications.
  • Conduct market research to identify cost-saving opportunities and alternative suppliers.
  • Track and follow up on delivery schedules to ensure timely arrival of goods and services.
  • Maintain and update supplier database and ensure proper documentation of all transactions.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and finance teams for accurate order processing and payment requests.
  • Evaluate supplier performance in terms of quality, delivery, and pricing.
  • Assist in preparing procurement reports and documentation for audits and project reviews.

What we're looking for

  • Relevant degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business or a related field
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a purchasing or procurement role, ideally within the telecom or construction industry.
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills with the ability to build lasting relationships
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively liaise with internal and external stakeholders
  • Familiarity with telecom materials (e.g., fiber optics, cables, poles, network equipment) or construction supplies.
  • Collaborative team player with a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Knowledge in purchase order systems, inventory software, or ERP tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, etc.) is a plus
