Job Summary

The Purchasing Officer is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials, supplies, and services in accordance with organizational policies and budget requirements. This role ensures that the company obtains quality products and services at competitive prices while maintaining reliable vendor relationships and supporting smooth business operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Source and procure materials, equipment, and services required by the organization.
  • Evaluate and negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best terms on price, quality, and delivery.
  • Review purchase requisitions and ensure accuracy and completeness before processing.
  • Prepare and issue purchase orders in accordance with company policies.
  • Monitor order status and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and service providers.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and new products.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier performance.
  • Coordinate with internal departments (e.g., finance, logistics, operations) to ensure procurement aligns with organizational needs.
  • Assist in developing procurement policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Handle discrepancies in deliveries, invoices, and payments.
  • Support cost reduction initiatives and continuous improvement of the procurement process.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
  • At least 1 year of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain operations.
  • Fresh graduates are welcome to apply (Business course related courses are preferred)
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and purchasing software or ERP systems.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of procurement laws, vendor management, and inventory control principles.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fresh graduate

Pay: Php20, Php25,000.00 per month
