StorageMart is Hiring Purchasing Officer

The Purchasing Officer will be responsible for identifying and sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts for goods and services, and maintaining accurate purchasing records. This role ensures efficient procurement operations, builds strong supplier relationships, and contributes to cost optimization and compliance.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Identify and source potential suppliers for goods and services.
  • Negotiate contracts, improve prices, and terms of business to achieve savings.
  • Maintain accurate records of all purchasing activities and reconcile purchase orders.
  • Scrutinize and analyze all approved requests received from other departments.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with suppliers, resolving issues promptly.
  • Monitor and supervise the Purchasing Associate's day-to-day duties.
  • Assist with merchandise inventory summary checking & validation.
  • Support asset count and monitoring.
  • Aid in logistics monitoring (Supplier to Branch transfers).
  • Contribute to Department Policy & Process Implementation.
  • Assist with vendor accreditation.
  • Create Purchasing Orders.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Operations Management or a related field.
  • At least 2-3 years of relevant experience in a purchasing or procurement role.
  • Solid understanding of Procurement Procedures & Financial Understanding.
  • Proven Good Communication, Negotiation, Analytical & Problem-Solving, and Attention to Details.
  • Experience with data entry, record-keeping, or quality control, and a systematic approach to accurate tasks.
