Job Overview:

The Purchasing Officer is responsible for managing the company's procurement activities to ensure timely, cost-efficient, and compliant sourcing of materials. This includes identifying and negotiating with suppliers, maintaining strong vendor relationships, and overseeing the end-to-end purchasing process. The role also supports a reliable supply chain, particularly in sourcing food items and materials related to poultry operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, conducting negotiations to secure favorable terms and conditions.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure a reliable and cost-effective supply chain.
  • Oversee the end-to-end procurement process, from requisition to payment, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.

Qualification and Experience

Education:

  • Graduate of Bachelor's/College degree in Business Administration, Customs Administration, Logistics/Transportation, Engineering (Industrial) or equivalent.

Experience:

  • Has at least 2 to 3 years' working experience as a Purchasing Specialist or Purchasing Officer.
  • Has a background in sourcing food items or related to growing of live chicken.

Competency Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management.
  • Strong negotiation skill and ability to build and maintain vendor relationships.
  • Knowledge of procurement regulations, policies, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and a part of a team.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php27, Php33,000.00 per month
