Key Responsibilities:

  • General Accounting and Financial Reporting:

  • Oversee the preparation and maintenance of financial statements in accordance with GAAP and company policies.

  • Ensure the accurate and timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
  • Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and adjustments as necessary.
  • Analyze financial data and provide recommendations to management for improving financial performance.

  • Compliance and Internal Controls:

  • Strong in handling government compliances and experience in handling LOA.

  • Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, as well as corporate policies and procedures.
  • Maintain and strengthen internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Deal with external audits and tax filings, including coordinating with external auditors and preparing schedules and documentation as needed.
  • Accounting Analysis and Reporting.
  • Prepare detailed financial reports and performance analysis, including variance analysis and commentary.
  • Review and analyze financial data to identify trends, irregularities, and opportunities for process improvements.
  • Prepare and review budgeting and forecasting processes, working with department heads to gather and analyze budget data.

  • Taxation:

  • Deal with external consultant for tax compliance, including preparation of corporate income tax returns, sales tax filings, and other regulatory filings as required.

  • Deal with BIR on LOA, audit and taxation matters.
  • Stay current on tax laws and regulations, providing recommendations to mitigate tax liabilities.

  • Human Resources and Administrations:

  • Managing the Human Resources and Administrations daily operations.

  • Mentorship and Team Collaboration:

  • Monitoring AR and AP team to ensure updated and accurate daily accounting records.

  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and learning-driven environment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and senior management, to ensure alignment and support of business goals.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license will be a plus.
  • Strong in Taxation.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting.
  • Strong Tax experience.
  • Strong experience with accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, SAP, or similar) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience with financial reporting, budgeting, tax compliance, and external audits.
  • Previous experience working in a multi-entity or multi-state organization is a plus.
  • Capable to submit accurate reports that meet the deadlines.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
