Position Title: Accounting and Finance Senior Manager

Job Summary:

The Accounting and Finance Senior Manager is responsible for overseeing the overall financial management, accounting operations, and strategic planning of the organization. This role ensures financial integrity, compliance with statutory requirements, and alignment of financial strategies with business goals. The position requires a strong leader who can manage day-to-day accounting functions while providing financial insights to support management decisions and drive operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Management and Planning

  • Develop and implement financial strategies, budgets, and forecasts in alignment with the company's strategic goals.
  • Monitor financial performance, analyze variances, and recommend corrective actions to achieve business targets.
  • Provide management with timely and accurate financial analysis and reports to support strategic decision-making.

Accounting Operations

  • Oversee the end-to-end accounting cycle, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
  • Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial statements and management reports.
  • Supervise month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Implement and maintain robust internal controls and accounting policies.

Compliance and Audit

  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and government reporting requirements.
  • Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory agencies for audits and filings.
  • Oversee corporate governance and risk management initiatives related to finance and accounting.

Process Improvement

  • Review and enhance accounting and financial processes, leveraging automation and best practices.
  • Provide financial guidance to support business units in project costing, and investment analysis.

Leadership and Team Management

  • Lead, coach, and develop the accounting and finance team to ensure high performance and professional growth.
  • Foster collaboration between finance, operations, and other departments to drive business success.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related field; Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, with at least 5 years in a managerial or senior leadership role.
  • Strong background in financial planning, analysis, and reporting, preferably in a manufacturing or shared services environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of Philippine tax laws, BIR regulations, and financial compliance standards.
  • Excellent leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • High level of integrity and commitment to ethical financial management.
