Key Responsibilities
1. Transport Operations
- Plan, organize, and monitor transportation schedules to meet client delivery timelines and service levels.
- Assign vehicles and drivers based on operational requirements and shipment priorities.
- Track vehicle movements, manage transport documentation, and ensure real-time communication with stakeholders.
- Coordinate with warehouse, procurement, and customer service teams for seamless logistics execution.
- Respond promptly to transport issues such as route delays, vehicle breakdowns, or client-specific requests.
- Ensure compliance with transport laws, safety standards, and client-specific SOPs.
2. Vendor Management & Sourcing
- Source, evaluate, and onboard transport service providers suitable for diverse client requirements.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with transport vendors to ensure service reliability and competitiveness.
- Conduct vendor performance reviews, track KPIs, and support improvement initiatives.
- Negotiate rates, terms, and conditions to achieve cost efficiency and service quality.
3. Contract & Bidding Administration
- Manage end-to-end bidding and tendering processes for transport services — including RFQs/RFPs, evaluation, and selection.
- Prepare, review, and process transport contracts and ensure timely renewals and compliance.
- Maintain accurate records of vendor contracts, bid documents, and pricing structures.
- Ensure all agreements adhere to company standards and client-specific requirements.
4. Reporting & Continuous Improvement
- Track transport costs and performance metrics by client, vendor, and route.
- Prepare periodic reports on service efficiency, cost trends, and vendor performance.
- Recommend process improvements to enhance service quality and reduce operational costs.
- Support audits, compliance checks, and continuous improvement initiatives.
