The Business Group Manager is responsible for overseeing the business operations of two business units like processed meat and non food team.This role involves strategic planning, financial management, and cross-functional coordination to ensure that business objectives are met and operations run smoothly.

Strategic Planning and Execution:

  • Develop and implement business strategies and plans for the group of departments or business units.

  • Align departmental goals with overall company objectives.

  • Monitor market trends and business opportunities to drive growth and efficiency.

Financial Management:

  • Oversee budget planning, allocation, and management for the group.

  • Monitor financial performance, including revenue, expenses, and profitability.

  • Implement cost-control measures and financial strategies to enhance profitability.

Operational Oversight:

  • Ensure efficient and effective operations across the departments or business units.

  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) and best practices.

  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics to identify areas for improvement.

Leadership and Team Management:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop managers and teams within the group.

  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture.

  • Ensure clear communication of goals, expectations, and responsibilities.

Cross-Functional Coordination:

  • Collaborate with other departments, such as sales, marketing, finance, and operations, to ensure cohesive and integrated business strategies.

  • Facilitate communication and cooperation between business units.

Client and Stakeholder Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders.

  • Address and resolve high-level client issues and concerns.

  • Represent the company at industry events and meetings as needed.

Reporting and Analysis:

  • Prepare and present business performance reports to senior management.

  • Conduct regular business reviews to assess performance against goals and identify improvement opportunities.

  • Utilize data and analytics to inform decision-making and strategy development.

Compliance and Risk Management:

  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and ethical standards.

  • Identify potential risks and implement strategies to mitigate them.

  • Oversee audits and reviews to ensure operational integrity

Sales Management
  • Lead the development and execution of sales strategies to achieve revenue, volume, and margin targets.
  • Set clear sales targets for teams and monitor performance regularly.
  • Analyze sales data, customer feedback, and market insights to optimize pricing, product mix, and promotional efforts.
  • Drive new customer acquisition and retention strategies across both business units.
  • Collaborate closely with marketing and trade marketing teams to align sales campaigns and product positioning.
  • Lead major customer negotiations and manage key account relationships.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Technology, Chemistry or any science related.

  • 8+ years of experience in business management, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role, preferably within the sales, supply chain or logistics industry.

  • Proven track record of driving business growth and operational efficiency.

  • Strong financial acumen and experience with budget management.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Proficient in business management software and tools.

  • Ability to travel as needed to support business operations and meet with clients and stakeholders.
