We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Assistant with a strong background in the hospitality or hotel industry. The ideal candidate will assist with daily accounting operations, ensure financial accuracy, and support the finance team in maintaining efficient financial processes tailored to hotel operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with accounts payable and receivable processes
  • Record and reconcile daily hotel revenue reports
  • Support month-end and year-end closing procedures
  • Maintain accurate general ledger entries
  • Prepare bank deposits and reconcile bank statements
  • Assist in preparing financial statements and reports
  • Manage and organize accounting documents and records
  • Communicate with vendors and internal departments for invoice and payment issues
  • Comply with all hotel financial procedures and standards

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an Accounting Assistant in the hotel or hospitality industry
  • Familiarity with hotel accounting systems (e.g., Opera, PMS, POS, QuickBooks, Sun Systems, or similar)
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and hotel operations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of daily revenue audits, cashiering, and front office transactions
  • Experience with multi-property or group hotel accounting
  • Understanding of local tax regulations applicable to hotels
