Job Description

This is a remote position listing for bookkeeping and related financial roles. Responsibilities
  • Manage and perform consulting, tax, and bookkeeping projects for clients
  • Comprehensive and timely preparation of time entries including engagement, work code, and description of time
  • Maintain and update financial records (accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, bank reconciliations) and process invoices, receipts, payments, and other transactions
  • Prepare financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and management reports; assist during audits
  • Reconcile discrepancies, monitor financial data accuracy, and collaborate with other departments to gather required information
  • Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and tax requirements; implement automated posting processes (e.g., Stripe/PayPal)
  • Provide payroll processing support where applicable and ensure proper documentation
Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar financial role; familiarity with UK bookkeeping concepts (VAT, P&L, Balance Sheet, depreciation) is preferred
  • Proficiency with QuickBooks Accounting software; experience with Xero is a plus
  • Knowledge of PayPal/Stripe reconciliation and receipt management is desirable
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational and time-management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities; ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance or related field preferred; relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Bookkeeper) are a plus
