Overview

Responsible for driving sales growth, expanding market presence, and building strong client relationships. The role requires a balance of strategic planning, market intelligence, and hands-on execution to identify opportunities, secure new business, and grow existing accounts. The Business Development Manager will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to align business strategies with organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the acquisition of new accounts and drive expansion of existing business to meet or exceed revenue targets.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies aligned with company objectives and management priorities.
  • Oversee the preparation and delivery of business proposals, pricing strategies, and negotiations with clients.
  • Monitor sales pipeline, track performance metrics, and ensure target achievement.
Market Development & Strategic Analysis
  • Conduct market intelligence gathering and competitor benchmarking to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations for business expansion and product positioning.
  • Lead strategic planning initiatives to penetrate new markets or expand in existing territories.
Client & Stakeholder Management
  • Establish and nurture strong relationships with clients, distributors, healthcare professionals, and other key stakeholders.
  • Act as the primary contact for escalations, ensuring timely resolution of client concerns and maintaining high satisfaction levels.
  • Represent the company at key industry events, conferences, and client meetings to strengthen brand presence.
Team & Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with Marketing, Sales, Finance, and Regulatory teams to ensure smooth execution of business initiatives.
  • Mentor, coach, and guide junior team members in business development and client engagement.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation, reporting, and database management.
Reporting & Performance Monitoring
  • Provide regular reports to senior management on sales performance, pipeline progress, market trends, and competitor movements.
  • Evaluate business outcomes and adjust strategies as needed to maximize growth.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 3 - 4 years' prior industry related business development experience
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven knowledge and execution of successful development strategies
  • Focused and goal-oriented
