Consulting & Generalist HR (Human Resources & Recruitment)

Overall in-charge of Human Resource Department, actively involved in strategic human resource planning directing its activities towards maximum utilization of work force through formulation and effective implementation of company policies. Major areas directed including but not limited to recruiting and staffing, performance management and improvement systems, employment and compliance to regulatory concerns, employee relations, policy development and documentation, compensation and benefits administration.

REPORTS TO: President & CEO

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Responsible for supervising the execution of Human Resources programs by the Human Resources team. Ensures that the administration adheres to established standards and procedures. Identifies areas for improvement and resolves any inconsistencies.
  • Manages and oversees the work of the HR staffs. Encourages the continuous growth and development of the Human Resources team.
  • The job involves developing, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating a recruitment and staffing strategic plan. The goal is to ensure that effective recruitment techniques are in place to fill the required number of staff positions in both existing and newly opened branch offices. This includes organizing and conducting assessments of applicants to ensure that the right person is hired for each job. Additionally, the role involves exploring various sources of qualified candidates for manpower pooling.
  • Career Growth and Development: Conduct Employee Orientation and Training Programs to Update HR Policies and Ensure Succession Planning.
  • Regularly review and update HR policies to ensure compliance with the latest legislation. This includes ensuring the company follows all HR-related laws and regulations issued by DOLE, such as the Labor Code of the Philippines and BID regulations, among others.
  • Formulate and recommend policies and objectives that relate to employee relations. Work closely with management to ensure that HR policies, procedures, programs, and laws are communicated effectively.
  • Promote a positive employer-employee relationship; determine and recommend employee relations practices that can help boost employee morale and motivation.
  • Investigate and address any employee complaints or concerns as they arise. Monitor the implementation of a performance improvement process for non-performing employees and advise managers and supervisors on the progressive discipline system of the company. Review employee appeals through the company complaint procedure.
  • Ensuring compliance with all existing governmental and labor legal and government reporting requirements within a company. Works towards minimizing the company's exposure to lawsuits by directing the preparation of information requested or required for compliance with applicable laws. Protect the interests of employees and the company, ensuring that all actions taken are in accordance with the company's Human Resources policies and governmental laws and regulations.
  • Collect and analyze data related to employee satisfaction with salary, working conditions, and services. Develop engaging activities to promote positive attitudes toward organizational goals.
  • Analyze and adjust compensation and benefits policies to establish competitive programs in compliance with legal requirements. Maintain and update information on benefits and compensation packages, and ensure that staff benefits are processed in a timely manner. Keep the salary structure and job grading system in place, ensuring that they align with industry standards.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Graduate of bachelor's degree in Human Resource Administration, Psychology or any related field. A post-graduation degree will be preferred.
  • At least 10 years of relevant work experience in a managerial capacity.
  • In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices
  • Knowledge of HR systems and databases.
