Power Solutions Costing, a department under Vestas Group Finance, is responsible for ensuring objective and transparent support for decision-makers by delivering financial reporting and analysis on supply chain costs to relevant stakeholders in the business and senior management.
This includes strict control of product costs within manufacturing and procurement by creating transparent and accurate cost estimates for analysis and decision purposes while keeping stakeholders accountable for target gaps and follow-up. SSC > Finance SSC > Controlling and Reporting
Responsibilities
- Financial controlling of product costs and improving inherent procedures and guidelines to create a transparent product cost structure to support cost tracking, cost analysis, and reporting
- Full understanding of the product cost structure to enable cross-functional business improvement projects
- Preparing, monitoring, and controlling cost estimates
- Financial analysis of financial accounts including variance reports, root cause countermeasures, opportunity analysis, business cases, and compliance
Qualifications
- Relevant Master's degree most likely within Finance, Engineering with a financial mindset
- Experience working within finance, engineering, manufacturing, or procurement. Recently graduated candidates with a curious mindset and an eagerness to learn and develop will be considered as well
- Knowledge or hands-on experience in manufacturing processes, sourcing & costing
- Proficient user in Excel, PowerPoint, and BI tools - experience in SAP, SAP BI suite is perceived as a benefit, but not a prerequisite if you have great IT and System Skills
- Works with the details and can take a strategic view to assess the full picture
- Works with different stakeholders in a global environment to build commitment and trusted relationships both service-minded and result-oriented
- Capable of comprehending complex solutions coupled with solid analysis, structured & fact-based approaches based on good systems to support this
- Quality-oriented - can validate own data results
- Focused and able to handle multiple tasks with varying timelines & priorities
- Structured and technical, transparent, and pragmatic
- Good system and business process understanding
