Business Development Manager (BDM) – Full Job Description

Overview:

A Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for driving business growth by identifying new opportunities, building relationships, and increasing revenue. They develop strategies, expand market presence, and work closely with different departments to achieve business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Identifying Business Opportunities

  • Research and analyze market trends, competitors, and industry developments.

  • Identify potential clients, partnerships, and business opportunities.

  • Develop strategies to enter new markets or expand existing ones.

2. Sales & Revenue Growth

  • Generate leads, negotiate deals, and close contracts with clients.

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to increase revenue.

  • Maintain relationships with key customers and stakeholders.

3. Strategic Planning & Execution

  • Develop business plans, sales forecasts, and growth strategies.

  • Collaborate with marketing and product teams to align strategies.

  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and report progress to senior management.

4. Supplier Relationship Management

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients and partners.

  • Address client concerns and ensure high levels of satisfaction.

  • Act as the main point of contact between the company and clients.

5. Negotiation & Contract Management

  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms with potential clients.

  • Work with legal and finance teams to finalize agreements.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.

6. Market Expansion & Brand Positioning

  • Identify new market segments and business expansion opportunities.

  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows.

  • Enhance brand visibility and positioning in the target market

What we're looking for

  • MUST HAVE A BACHELOR'S DEGREE IN FOOD TECHNOLOGY, CHEMISTRY, BIOLOGY OR RELATED FIELD

  • 3 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE IN THE RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT IN FOOD MANUFACTURING COMPANIES.

  • KNOWLEDGEABLE OF TECHNICAL PROCESSES/PROCEDURES

  • With or without SALES EXPERIENCE

  • Willingness to LEARN and SELF MOTIVATED
