The Business Development Officer turns that vision into reality by scouting strategic retail locations, negotiating leasing opportunities, and leading coordination across departments to ensure smooth and successful store openings. This role blends business insight, operational excellence, and brand passion to help the brand grow its retail footprint nationwide.

Key Responsibilities:

Market & Retail Expansion

  • Scout and evaluate high-potential retail spaces (malls, kiosks, pop-ups) across key cities.
  • Conduct site assessments, analyze foot traffic, competitor activity, and target consumer behavior.
  • Coordinate with mall leasing officers and property managers to obtain proposals, floor plans, and contract terms.
  • Prepare feasibility studies, cost projections, and ROI analyses for management approval.
  • Recommend expansion priorities backed by data, location potential, and brand strategy.

Cross-Department Coordination

  • Collaborate with Retail Operations, Marketing, Warehouse, Finance, and HR to ensure all store-opening requirements are met.
  • Oversee store opening timelines, ensuring tasks are completed from leasing approval to launch day.
  • Schedule and lead ocular visits, alignment meetings, and post-opening reviews.
  • Serve as the main point person for all store expansion updates and escalations.
  • Support brand activations and retail events that drive visibility, engagement, and foot traffic.
  • Identify and develop strategic partnerships, collaborations, and pop-up opportunities that align with the brand.

Reporting & Documentation

  • Maintain an updated store expansion tracker with timelines, costs, and performance metrics.
  • Prepare business reports, presentations, and recommendations for management.
  • Track post-launch performance and propose improvements for future expansion rollouts.
Key Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Real Estate Management, or related field.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in business development, retail expansion, or leasing coordination (experience in beauty, fashion, or lifestyle brands is a plus).
  • Strong understanding of mall operations and leasing processes.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Google Workspace.
  • Highly organized, analytical, and proactive in handling multiple projects.
  • Willing to travel for site visits, leasing discussions, and store setups.
