About the Role
Owner is a CPA with over five decades of experience in accounting and tax services working for himself and 3 of the largest international CPA firms. The owner is a seasoned local CPA based in Loves Park, IL, serving businesses in Rockford and surrounding areas. Glenn's firm offers comprehensive CPA firm services, including bookkeeping training, IRS problem-solving, tax preparation, and acting as a Fractional/part-time CFO to help road construction builder clients manage and improve their finances confidently. Glenn is dedicated to empowering and advising road construction builder Owners and Chief Executive Officers (CEO's) on complex financial issues, improving their information systems, teaching them practical skills and providing tailored guidance to support long-term success in their businesses and professional lives.
Key Responsibilities for this job
Develop and execute business development strategies to promote Fractional CFO services to companies in the road construction sector.
- Develop a lead generation contact database of road construction companies generating $5,000,000 to $500,000,000 million in sales from state and Federal road construction contracts.
Each state has a site that provides needed information on such road construction companies for contracts accepted by the state. Under the Freedom of Information Act Federal regulations this database is accessible to the public at no cost.
- This database you will be expected to develop must include for each of the following for the Company, for the Owners and for the CEO:
* Exact names
* Exact direct mailing address
* Exact direct telephone number
* Exact email address
This database will be used for the first direct mailing via US mail and/or email.
Cold outreach (email, phone, LinkedIn, etc) will not be necessary if the above approach works.
- Create targeted marketing content, presentations, and proposals for prospective clients.
- Improve online presence through website updates, SEO, and other digital marketing initiatives.
- Design & implement KPI tracking systems to measure marketing & lead generation effectiveness.
- Collaborate with Glenn Miller to identify growth opportunities and refine target market strategies.
- Continuously optimize outreach methods to increase lead conversion rates.
Qualifications
- Excellent English language speaking and writing skills.
- Proven experience in marketing, business development, or lead generation (B2B preferred).
- Strong copywriting skills and ability to create compelling marketing content.
- Familiarity with digital marketing tools, SEO, & website management (WordPress/Wix preferred).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an engaging and professional tone.
- Strong research skills for building and maintaining lead databases.
- Ability to work independently and proactively, bringing new ideas and solutions.
- Experience in targeting niche industries or specialized services is a plus.
