Job Summary

The Finance Associate supports the Finance / Accounting department by assisting in financial operations, reporting, reconciliation, and analysis. Works closely with senior finance staff to ensure financial data integrity, compliance, and timely delivery of financial information to help guide decision‑making.


Duties & Responsibilities

  • Maintain the general ledger: prepare journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and adjustments.
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts (e.g. bank, intercompany, receivables, payables).
  • Assist in accounts payable (AP): process vendor invoices, ensure approvals, schedule payments.
  • Assist in accounts receivable (AR): prepare & send customer invoices, record receipts, follow up on overdue accounts.
  • Support month‑end, quarter‑end, year‑end closing processes.
  • Prepare financial reports and management dashboards (monthly financial statements, variance analysis).
  • Support budgeting and forecasting process: collect data, prepare templates, track actual vs budget.
  • Assist in audit & compliance: prepare schedules, supporting documents; ensure internal controls are followed.
  • Monitor cash flows, assist in cash flow forecasting and liquidity analyses.
  • Identify and suggest improvements to financial processes, efficiency, and controls.
  • Perform ad hoc analyses as required by management.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in accounting / finance.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel; experience with accounting software / ERP systems.
  • Good analytical, attention to detail, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to work under deadlines and in a team environment.
  • Good communication skills (verbal & written).
  • Basic understanding of local regulation / tax / statutory reporting (depending on location).
