Job Description

As a Bookkeeper, you will handle full-charge accounting responsibilities, from maintaining ledgers and reconciling accounts to managing payables, receivables, and reporting. Your accuracy and financial expertise ensure smooth operations and client success.

The Qualifications We Seek

• Proficient in QuickBooks Online as the main accounting software.
• Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in Accounting or Finance.
• 3-5 years of related work experience as a full-charge bookkeeper or in an accounting role.
• Advanced training or equivalent education/experience may be substituted.

• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office products, especially Excel.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize time and tasks and meet deadlines.
• Self-reliant, highly organized, and accountable.
• Strong interpersonal skills to build effective work relationships.

Your Daily Tasks

General Accounting

• Maintain accounting books and records.
• Maintain all subsidiary ledgers.
• Record payroll and other general journal entries.
• Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements.
• Post and create journal entries with proficiency.

Accounts Payable

• Create, enter, and match purchase orders.
• Record vendor invoices.
• Process expense reports.
• Process periodic payroll.

Accounts Receivable

• Sort and match deposits and invoices.
• Post cash, check, and credit card payments to accounts.
• Record cash receipt information.
• Review credit memos and refunds.
• Apply adjustments to accounts as necessary.
• Conduct basic collection activities.
• Review A/R aging reports.
• Gather information on delinquent accounts.

Organization

• Review, categorize, and use data to prepare reports in QuickBooks Online, Excel, and Word.
• Maintain records and files, including journal, general ledger documentation, and other filings.

Communication

• Interact with customers, vendors, and client personnel via email.
• Respond to inquiries and provide information.
• Prepare daily and weekly reports and schedules as required by client or management.
