Job Description

As an AU Bookkeeper, you will handle end-to-end bookkeeping processes including payroll, accounts receivable/payable, and financial reporting, ensuring accurate compliance with Australian standards while supporting client relationships and contributing to financial transparency.

Employment type: Project-based

Shift: Day Shift (Mon-Fri, 7:00 AM-4:00 PM); Weekends off

Work setup: Permanent WFH

The Qualifications We Seek:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Minimum 1 year of bookkeeping and payroll experience, specifically with Australian clients or regulations (AU experience required)
• Preferably knowledgeable in Australian GST
• Proficiency in Xero is required
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to develop and maintain client relationships
• Strong time management skills and ability to handle multiple clients
• Proficient in Excel, including use of formulas (e.g., SUMIF, VLOOKUP) and pivot tables

Your Daily Tasks:

• Process client accounts including payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and bank reconciliations
• Prepare BAS and IAS
• Conduct balance sheet reconciliations
• Prepare monthly financial reports
• Onboard new clients to Xero and other cloud ecosystem tools
• Maintain regular communication and meetings with clients
