Role Description

The Labor Lawyer performs the general duties of an experienced labor and employment attorney by handling employment litigation and other labor/employment matters and advising the Management on legal issues involving employees.

Qualifications:

  • Must have a law degree from a recognized university and passed the bar exam.
  • At least 3 years' experience in labor law and litigation.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • With problem solving skill and possesses analytical mind
  • Excellent organizational skills and has the ability to multitask
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills, along with the ability to communicate effectively with others at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent negotiation and communications skills
  • Administrative and managerial skills
  • Analytical ability and strong attention to detail

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Handle employment litigation independently or largely independently handle litigation and other matters;
  • Prepare legal briefs and other pleadings;
  • Handle various aspects of employment related litigation, such as motion hearings, mediations, and depositions;
  • Determine litigation strategy;
  • Respond to NLRC, SENA and DOLE charges;
  • Prepare trial material and handle or assist at pretrial, trial, and post trial proceedings.
  • Other responsibilities as deemed necessary by the immediate superior and/or Management.
