Core responsibilities
- Talent acquisition: Source, screen, and recruit qualified candidates for technical positions using databases, social media, and other channels.
- Candidate assessment: Conduct interviews to evaluate candidates' technical skills, experience, and cultural fit.
- Hiring manager collaboration: Partner with hiring managers to understand specific job requirements and provide them with shortlisted candidates.
- Process management: Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, including scheduling interviews, extending offers, and coordinating with HR for onboarding.
- Strategy and reporting: Develop and implement recruiting strategies, stay updated on industry trends, and provide recruiting reports.
Required skills and qualifications
- Technical knowledge: A good understanding of technology roles, skills, and the IT job market.
- Interpersonal skills: Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Organization and efficiency: Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple roles and candidates simultaneously.
- Decision-making: The ability to make sound judgments when evaluating candidates' qualifications.
- Education: A bachelor's degree is often preferred, with coursework in an IT or technical field being a significant plus.
- Experience: Experience in recruitment, HR, or a related field is beneficial.
