The Program Specialist is responsible for the comprehensive administration, implementation, and enhancement of scholarship programs across various initiatives. This role ensures seamless program operations, scholar engagement, and strategic coordination with internal and external stakeholders. The Program Specialist will oversee scholarship application processes, monitor program impact, and provide administrative and logistical support to facilitate scholar development and engagement.

Responsibilities:

Program Administration & Operations:

  • Manage the scholarship application process, including sourcing, promotion, application intake, and selection coordination.
  • Oversee document management, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records in databases and digital platforms.

    Ensure compliance with scholarship policies, guidelines, and funding requirements.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and documentation related to program administration, monitoring, and evaluation.

    Conduct online research and benchmarking to improve program strategies and outcomes.

Scholar Engagement & Development:

  • Provide support in orientation sessions, scholar dialogues, career readiness seminars, and networking opportunities.
  • Assist in developing engagement strategies to foster a strong sense of community and purpose among scholars.
  • Respond to inquiries and maintain effective communication with scholars, partners, and stakeholders.

Program Monitoring, Evaluation & Impact Assessment:

  • Track program activities and progress toward defined goals and KPIs.
  • Collect, compile, and analyze data on scholar performance, retention, and program effectiveness.
  • Identify potential challenges and recommend solutions for continuous program improvement.
  • Assist in crafting program evaluation reports, highlighting insights and recommendations.

Outreach & Stakeholder Coordination:

  • Implement outreach campaigns to attract eligible applicants, ensuring a diverse and qualified scholar pool.
  • Establish partnerships with schools, universities, industry partners, and community organizations to promote scholarship opportunities.
  • Facilitate coordination between different teams, departments, and external partners to enhance program reach and efficiency.

Logistics & Administrative Support:

  • Manage calendars and schedule meetings, interviews, and scholar events.
  • Assist in the procurement of program materials, supplies, and resources.
  • Coordinate logistics for program events, including travel arrangements, venue booking, and event execution.
  • Provide on-site support during scholar activities, workshops, and other engagements, which may require domestic travel.

Budget & Financial Management (if applicable):

  • Assist in budget planning, tracking, and financial management of scholar-related expenses.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Social Sciences, Public Administration, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in program administration, scholarship management, or related roles.
  • Experience working with educational institutions, government agencies, NGOs, or corporate foundations is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in handling administrative tasks, coordinating events, or managing records.
