The Key Accounts Specialist is responsible for identifying, developing, and managing relationships with key retail partners in Modern Trade channels to support the growth and visibility of five international FMCG brands. This role combines account acquisition, territory development, and trade execution, ensuring strong in-store presence and commercial alignment with retailers and distributors in the assigned region. Reporting to the Trade Marketing Manager, the Key Accounts Specialist plays a crucial frontline role in opening new doors, expanding market reach, and implementing brand programs that drive sell-in and sell-out performance.

Key Responsibilities Retailer Acquisition & Relationship Building

  • Identify, tap, and onboard new retail accounts across both Modern Trade (e.g., supermarkets, pharmacies/drug stores, department stores, specialty stores, convenience stores, etc.)
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with key retailers, store decision-makers, and sub distributor partners.

Account Management & Channel Development

  • Manage assigned key accounts and align trade marketing initiatives per retail format requirements.
  • Expand distribution, optimize shelf presence, and support product assortment growth within accounts.
  • Customize execution strategies based on channel type (Modern vs. General Trade) and consumer dynamics.

Territory & Coverage Expansion

  • Develop and maintain a retailer pipeline for assigned area in NCR.
  • Ensure brand penetration and consistent coverage through close coordination with sales and distribution teams.

Trade Marketing Execution

  • Implement brand activities at the store level: promotions, merchandising, display set-up, and POSM deployment.
  • Conduct trade checks and ensure promotional compliance and visibility standards are met.

Performance Tracking & Reporting

  • Monitor and report on sales performance, trade program effectiveness, and competitor activities.
  • Provide weekly/monthly reports with insights, execution photos, and on-ground feedback.
