Accounting Clerk

  • Process and verify invoices for accuracy and completeness.
  • Prepare and execute outgoing payments to suppliers and vendors in a timely manner.
  • Reconcile accounts payable ledgers and resolve any discrepancies with vendor accounts.
  • Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy between company records and bank statements.
  • Maintain and update supplier records and financial documentation for compliance and audit purposes.
  • Communicate with vendors regarding payment status, address payment issues, and support month-end closing activities.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an accounting clerk or similar role in accounting or bookkeeping.
  • Familiarity with basic accounting procedures, bookkeeping, and financial reporting.
  • Competency in MS Office (especially Excel), databases, and accounting software.
  • Excellent attention to detail and high accuracy in data entry and record keeping.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to perform filing and administrative duties.
  • Aptitude for working with numbers and financial data.
  • Ability to reconcile accounts, research discrepancies, and generate summary reports in a timely manner.
  • At minimum, college degree or relevant certification in accounting or finance is a plus.
