QA/QC Engineer – Warehouse Design and Build Project

The QA/QC Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that all construction activities meet the highest quality standards and comply with all regulatory and project-specific requirements. This role involves overseeing quality assurance and quality control processes, conducting inspections, and implementing corrective actions to maintain the integrity of the warehouse construction project.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Assurance:

  • Develop and implement the project's QA/QC plan.
  • Establish quality objectives and ensure adherence throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Review and approve project specifications, drawings, and materials for compliance with standards.

Quality Control:

  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor compliance with quality standards and project specifications.
  • Identify and document any deviations from quality standards and initiate corrective actions.
  • Oversee material testing and ensure compliance with project requirements.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain comprehensive records of all QA/QC activities, including inspection reports, test results, and non-conformance reports.
  • Prepare and submit regular quality reports to project management and stakeholders.
  • Ensure all documentation is complete, accurate, and properly archived.

Coordination and Communication:

  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors to address quality issues.
  • Provide training and guidance to site personnel on quality standards and best practices.
  • Facilitate quality meetings and communicate quality-related issues and resolutions effectively.

Regulatory Compliance:

  • Ensure all construction activities comply with relevant local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Coordinate with regulatory authorities during inspections and audits.
  • Stay updated on changes to construction standards and regulations.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for improving quality processes and implement best practices.
  • Analyze quality performance data and trends to prevent recurring issues.
  • Promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement within the project team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in QA/QC engineering within the construction industry, preferably in warehouse, drainage, land development or industrial projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction quality standards, codes, and regulations.
  • Proficiency in QA/QC methodologies, tools, and techniques.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities.
