Job Description:
The Mandatory and Compliance Specialist is responsible for ensuring that the organization adheres to all regulatory requirements and internal policies. This role involves monitoring compliance, conducting audits, and providing guidance on regulatory matters to various departments.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Regulatory Compliance:
Monitor and evaluate the organization's compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
Maintain knowledge of regulatory changes and communicate updates to relevant stakeholders.
2. Policy Development:
Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of compliance policies and procedures.
Ensure that all policies are effectively communicated and understood throughout the organization.
Auditing and Reporting:
Conduct regular audits to assess compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
Prepare and present compliance reports to management and stakeholders.
4. Training and Support:
Develop and deliver training programs related to compliance policies and procedures.
Provide support and guidance to employees on compliance-related issues.
5. Risk Management:
Identify potential compliance risks and recommend corrective actions.
Collaborate with various departments to address compliance issues and improve processes.
6. Liaison with Regulatory Authorities:
Act as a point of contact for regulatory agencies during inspections and audits.
Respond to inquiries and maintain positive relationships with regulators.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Law, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP), Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM)) is a plus.
Experience:
3-5 years of experience in compliance, regulatory affairs, or a related field.
Experience in conducting audits and assessments is preferred.
Skills:
Strong understanding of compliance regulations and best practices.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
Proficiency in compliance management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
