Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development Officer to join a fast-growing fintech company. The ideal candidate will play a key role in identifying new business opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and driving revenue growth. You will work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to expand our market presence and promote our financial technology products and services.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities, partnerships, and client relationships in the fintech space.
- Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
- Generate qualified leads through networking, cold calling, events, and other outbound activities.
- Manage and nurture the sales pipeline using CRM tools to track interactions and progress.
- Present company products and services to potential clients, demonstrating a deep understanding of features and value propositions.
- Collaborate with product, marketing, and customer success teams to ensure alignment on customer acquisition and retention strategies.
- Participate in contract negotiations and assist in closing deals.
- Prepare and deliver regular sales and performance reports to senior management.
- Stay up to date with fintech industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in business development, sales, or partnerships, preferably in the fintech or financial services industry.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Strong understanding of financial products, digital banking, payment systems, or lending platforms.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently and in teams.
- Proficiency with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and MS Office suite.
- Familiarity with local financial regulations and compliance is a plus.
