NYS Essential Power is a growing US-based solar installation company committed to providing sustainable energy solutions. We're expanding our finance team and seeking a detail-oriented Finance Analyst to join our remote team.

Position Overview

As a Finance Analyst, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day financial operations that keep our business running smoothly. You'll manage invoicing, payment processing, accounts receivable, and data verification while working directly with our US-based management team. This role is critical to maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring healthy cash flow.

Key Responsibilities

Daily Operations:

• Customer Setup & Invoice Management - Review installation calendar, set up new customers in QuickBooks, and generate invoices for completed solar installations
• Payment Processing - Record incoming payments from multiple sources (checks, ACH, credit cards), post to customer ledgers, and maintain accurate records
• Accounts Receivable - Monitor aging reports, follow up on past-due invoices via phone and email, and manage collections activities
• Cash Job Invoicing - Generate invoices from CRM system for cash-basis customers
• Commission Processing - Enter and route sales commission bills for management approval
• Data Verification - Verify project intake data including AHJ, utility information, regional classifications, and HOA requirements for financing applications.

Required Qualifications

Essential Skills:

• QuickBooks Online Experience - Minimum 1-2 years hands-on experience (creating invoices, recording payments, managing A/R)
• Accounting Knowledge - Understanding of basic accounting principles, accounts receivable, and general ledger
• Excel Proficiency - Comfortable with spreadsheets, formulas, and data management
• English Communication - Excellent written and verbal English communication skills for customer interactions
• Phone Skills - Professional and confident making collection calls to US customers
• Attention to Detail - High accuracy in data entry and financial record-keeping
• Time Management - Ability to manage multiple daily tasks and meet deadlines

Technical Requirements:

• Reliable high-speed internet connection (minimum 25 Mbps)
• Quiet home office environment for professional phone calls
• Computer with webcam for video meetings
• Availability during US Eastern Time business hours

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience with US-based companies
• Familiarity with or similar CRM platforms
• Experience in construction, solar, or project-based industries
• Understanding of multi-payer invoice structures
• Collections or credit management experience

Daily KPIs:

• All completed installations invoiced same-day
• All payments recorded within 24 hours
• Past-due accounts contacted per schedule
• Zero unreconciled payments at end of day
• All commission bills entered and routed

Quality Standards:

• 99%+ accuracy in invoice creation
• Proper class/account coding on all transactions
• Complete documentation of customer communications
• Timely escalation of issues to management

Compensation Guidelines

Entry Level ($8-9/hour): 1-2 years QuickBooks experience, basic accounting knowledge, excellent English

Mid-Level ($9-11/hour): 3+ years experience, collections experience, CRM familiarity, proven accuracy

Senior Level ($11-12/hour): 5+ years experience, US company background, multi-system proficiency, supervisory potential

All rates in USD. Payment via secure international transfer.

Important Notes

• This position requires availability during US Eastern Time business hours (which may be evening/night hours in the Philippines)
• You will be making phone calls to US customers, so clear English and professional phone manner are essential
• Training will be provided on our specific systems and procedures
