About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Remote Bookkeeper based in the Philippines to manage the day-to-day accounting operations for our Australian business. This role requires expert-level proficiency with Xero, strong familiarity with Australian payroll and accounting standards, and the ability to work independently with high accuracy and reliability.

What You'll Be Doing

• Processing weekly payroll for 20+ employees across multiple entities.
• Managing accounts payable and receivable, including payment runs and collections
• Performing daily bank reconciliations in Xero
• Issuing invoices based on customer orders
• Preparing monthly financial reports that are accurate and on time
• Communicating clearly with internal teams and suppliers
• Recommending improvements to financial systems and workflows
• End of month balance sheet and profit and loss reconciliation
• Managing integrated apps and ensuring accurate data flow between software's
• Inter-entity account management

What We're Looking For

This role is for an experienced Accountant or Bookkeeper who is accurate, proactive, and highly reliable. You'll be trusted with important financial responsibilities from day one. You will be solely responsible for all Salad Days' bookkeeping.

Must-Haves:

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, Management Accounting, or a related finance/accounting course (Philippines-based education)
• Extensive experience working with an Australian based company
• At least 5 years of solid experience in accounting or bookkeeping
• Strong expertise in Xero reconciliations, reports, bulk imports, payroll, etc.
• Hands-on experience processing payroll for 20+ employees
• Proven excellent English communication skills (spoken and written)
• A quiet, professional work-from-home setup with strong internet

Tools You'll Be Using

• Xero (Accounting) – experience required
• Deputy (Payroll) – experience not required, training provided.
• Inventory Systems (Inventory software management) - experience not required, training provided.
• Red Cat (POS)
