We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Bookkeeper to join our client, a growing bookkeeping firm based in California. This role involves performing key bookkeeping functions, including bank reconciliations and payroll processing, while delivering accurate, timely, and dependable support to clients. The ideal candidate is proactive, communicates effectively, and brings a foundation in finance or bookkeeping with a strong desire to grow within the industry.

Work Schedule:

  • Part-time: 20 hours per week, with the flexibility to scale up to 30 hours per week- Potential to expand to a full-time role

  • Fixed schedule, Pacific Time US business hours (Schedule TBA)

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and perform timely bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.

  • Record and maintain financial data in accounting systems with attention to accuracy and consistency.

  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoicing, payment processing, and tracking outstanding balances.

  • Support client onboarding by organizing financial documentation and setting up accounting records.

  • Assist in payroll processing and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.

  • Generate monthly reports, balance sheets, and profit and loss summaries as needed.

  • Collaborate closely with the client while maintaining communication with the Operations Manager overseeing performance and professionalism.

  • Support ad hoc bookkeeping and administrative tasks to ensure smooth financial operations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred.- At least 2 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience; experience in property management accounting highly preferred.- Proficient in accounting software and productivity tools such as QuickBooks, Google Workspace, and Microsoft 365.- Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and financial reporting standards.- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.- High attention to detail, organization, and time management.- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
