Job Description
As a Medical Reviewer, you will ensure the accuracy, compliance, and integrity of medical documentation across assisted living facilities. You will review clinical records, verify regulatory adherence, validate coding and billing entries, and collaborate with healthcare teams to resolve gaps and elevate documentation quality.

The Qualifications We Seek
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience:
- Minimum 3 years in medical documentation review, coding, or billing.
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems and insurance guidelines.
Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in EMR/EHR platforms.
Certifications:
- HIPAA compliance certification required; quality assurance or auditing certifications preferred.
Preferred Background:
- Experience in assisted living or long-term care settings, with knowledge of state-specific regulations and quality standards.
Your Daily Tasks
- Review patient charts, physician notes, and care plans for completeness and accuracy.
- Verify compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and state regulations for assisted living documentation.
- Validate coding and billing details to prevent errors and fraud.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify documentation and resolve discrepancies.
- Prepare audit reports and recommend corrective actions for compliance gaps.
- Monitor documentation trends and assist in training initiatives.
- Maintain confidentiality and ensure strict data security.
