Employee Engagement Manager

The Employee Engagement Manager plays a critical role in fostering a positive work environment that enhances employee satisfaction, retention, and productivity. This position exists to create and implement engagement strategies that align with organizational goals, ensuring employees are motivated and connected to the company's vision and culture. Key responsibilities include managing engagement surveys, organizing initiatives to boost morale, and collaborating with leadership to address employee concerns. The role typically reports to the Head of Human Resources and plays a vital part in driving organizational success through effective employee relations and engagement programs.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Develop and implement engagement programs and activities by ensuring they align with company goals and improve employee satisfaction and retention.
- Responsible for delegating tasks related to engagement initiatives, internal communication strategies, and event planning to the direct reports.
- Provides guidance and on-the-job training to team members, ensuring they understand their roles and are equipped to execute engagement programs effectively.
- Regularly monitors the performance of direct reports, provides feedback, conducts performance reviews, and identifies areas for development.
- Has the authority to address performance issues and recommend disciplinary actions in accordance with company policies, but final disciplinary actions are coordinated with the HR department and the line manager.
- Collaborates with division heads, department managers, and HR to ensure that engagement programs align with the company's culture and objectives.
- Works closely with external vendors for event management, survey platforms, and employee recognition programs.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Educational Qualifications:
Required Degree: Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field.
Preferred Certifications: Certification in Employee Engagement, Organizational Development, or Human Resources (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or other relevant HR certifications).
Work Experience Minimum Experience:
5+ years of experience in employee engagement, talent development, or human resources.
Relevant Experience: Proven track record of designing and implementing employee engagement initiatives, experience in performance management, and a solid background in promoting organizational culture and retention strategies.
