Job Summary:

We are looking for a technically skilled and customer-focused After-Service Engineer – Submarine Cable to join our team based in BGC, Taguig City, Metro Manila. This role is responsible for providing after-sales technical support, maintenance, diagnostics, and field services for submarine power and telecommunication cable systems used in the telecom industry. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with cable systems and be capable of coordinating both onshore and offshore service operations.

Key Responsibilities:Post-Sales Technical Support & Field Service:

  • Conduct inspection, maintenance, testing, and fault diagnostics of submarine power and fiber optic cables.
  • Provide timely resolution of post-installation issues such as electrical faults, signal degradation, or system anomalies.
  • Supervise or participate in on-site and offshore cable repair and maintenance activities as needed.

Client Support & Coordination:

  • Act as the primary technical liaison for clients after project handover, ensuring high service quality and responsiveness.
  • Deliver technical training and guidance to clients on system operations and basic troubleshooting.
  • Assist in the preparation of technical reports, service documentation, and failure analysis.

Internal Collaboration & Reporting:

  • Work closely with engineering, project management, and R&D teams to address escalated technical issues.
  • Maintain detailed service records, warranty reports, and customer feedback logs.
  • Support the transition from project commissioning to operational service phase.

Emergency & Offshore Support:

  • Participate in emergency service calls and support subsea repair operations in coordination with marine contractors and vessel teams.
  • Ensure all safety and regulatory protocols are strictly followed during offshore assignments.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Marine Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in after-sales service or field engineering in submarine cables, power transmission, or telecom infrastructure.
  • Solid technical background in:
  • Submarine cable systems (fiber optic and/or power)
  • Cable jointing and termination techniques
  • Fault detection and testing tools (e.g., OTDR, insulation testers)
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to travel locally and internationally, including for offshore assignments.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience with telco operators, submarine cable installation companies, or marine contractors.
  • Certifications in cable jointing, electrical safety, or offshore safety (e.g., BOSIET) are a plus.
  • Familiarity with relevant industry standards (e.g., IEC, IEEE, Telcordia, or similar).
