HR Assistant

The HR Assistant - Documentation & Timekeeping plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of Auro Cafe's human resources department. This role is primarily responsible for maintaining accurate employee records, managing timekeeping systems, and providing general HR support. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and possesses excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Documentation:
- Maintain and update employee files, both physical and electronic, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Prepare and process HR documents, including offer letters, contracts, and other employment-related paperwork.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant labor laws and regulations regarding employee documentation.
- Manage the onboarding process for new hires, including collecting necessary documentation and completing required paperwork.
- Assist with the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures related to documentation.
- Timekeeping:
- Administer the cafe's timekeeping system (e.g., software, manual system).
- Collect and review employee time sheets, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Calculate and process employee payroll data related to hours worked, overtime, and leave.
- Address employee inquiries regarding timekeeping and payroll.
- Generate reports related to employee attendance and timekeeping.
- Monitor employee attendance and identify any trends or issues.
- General HR Support:
- Provide administrative support to the HR department, including scheduling meetings, preparing presentations, and managing correspondence.
- Assist with recruitment activities, such as posting job openings and screening resumes.
- Support employee relations activities, such as organizing employee events and addressing employee concerns.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee information.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
