Job Description:

Cost monitoring

  • Maintain a cost control system to track project expenditure.
  • Ensure the cost control system covers all the project expenditures, including variation orders,

committed cost, potential liabilities, actual expenditure, and the at-completion cost of the project.

Cost Control

  • Analyze the cost data per project to identify the variances against the approved baseline cost.
  • Using the cost data, identifying the trends and potential budget overrun, highlights the outcome to the Project Controls Manager.
  • Facilitate the budget review meeting with individual project teams and highlight the area of concern.
  • Prepare and maintain the cost monitoring system for each project and update the overall cost percentage
  • Assist the project controls manager in analyzing the impact of budget overrun for each project.
  • Provide cost-related information to the risk management system per project.
  • Provide cost input and assist the project controls manager in working on the EOT/Cost claims.
  • Provide support to the contracts team in validating contractors' claims and variation orders.
  • Preparation, distribution, and proper storage of the regular cost reports, including but not limited to: Cost report, Monthly cost report, Project cost variance report (overall and per

project) Project cost dashboard report

  • Graphical Reports such as Cash flow projection graphs per project, Cost performance Index charts per project, Budget cost Vs Actual cost vs Forecast report and Project Overall cost summary report.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, preferably Civil, Mechanical, Industrial, or Quantity surveying.
  • Minimum 5 years' cost control experience, preferably in the renewable energy or construction industry.
  • At least 3 years of site construction or on-field experience would be highly preferable.
  • Strong knowledge of Quantity surveying.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office (preferably in MS Excel).
  • Strong background in costing and estimating norms.
  • Strong knowledge of construction cost management.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to negotiate and connect with different individuals.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Sound problem-solving techniques and skills.
  • Renewable energy project experience is preferred.
  • SAP and Maximo work experience is nice to have.
  • Willing to relocate and work in Real, Quezon Province and working 6x a week onsite.
