About the role

Zirconia Inc. is seeking an experienced Cost Controller to join our dynamic team in our Makati City, Manila office. As a full-time Cost Controller, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the company's financial management processes, ensuring accurate cost accounting and reporting to support our strategic goals.

What you'll be doing

  1. Develop and maintain cost accounting systems to track, analyse, and report on all costs associated with business operations
  2. Prepare detailed cost reports, variance analyses, and recommendations to support decision-making at the executive level
  3. Collaborate with department managers to identify cost-saving opportunities and implement process improvements
  4. Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements
  5. Provide training and support to finance and operations teams on cost accounting procedures
  6. Participate in the budgeting and forecasting process, providing insights and recommendations
  7. Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

What we're looking for

  1. A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  2. 8+ years of experience in a cost accounting or financial analysis role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting
  3. Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles, budgeting, and financial reporting
  4. Proficient in using financial management software, spreadsheets, and data analysis tools
  5. Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills
  6. The ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  7. A commitment to accuracy, attention to detail, and continuous improvement
