HR Compensation and Benefits Associate

The Compensation and Benefits Associate is responsible for the effective administration of employee compensation, benefits, timekeeping, and job evaluation processes. He / She will oversee the accurate and timely processing of payroll inputs, monitor employee attendance records, administers all government and company-provided benefits. This position plays a key role in promoting employee satisfaction, operational efficiency, and legal compliance.

  • Develop, implement, and manage compensation structures aligned with company goals and Philippine labor regulations.
  • Administer government-mandated benefits such as SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, and ensure accurate and timely remittances and reporting. (including assisting Sprout Gov.)
  • Monitor and coordinate Compensation and Benefits processes involving Union Bank platforms such as eGov and OneHub, ensuring accurate payroll crediting, benefits disbursement, and timely resolution of banking-related issues affecting employee compensation.
  • Manage the payroll process in coordination with the Finance department, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and confidentiality.
  • Assist and oversee employee benefits programs including HMO, leave administration, and wellness initiatives.
  • Conduct job evaluations and salary benchmarking
  • Support annual salary reviews, performance bonus processing, and other incentive schemes.
  • Maintain and update employee compensation and benefits records in the HRIS or equivalent system.
  • Address employee inquiries regarding compensation and benefits, leave credits, loans etc. and provide guidance on policies and procedures.
  • Liaise with government agencies and third-party service providers to ensure compliance and resolve related issues.
  • Prepare regular reports and analytics for management review (e.g., payroll summary, benefits utilization, etc.).
  • Handle reminders for adjustments and payroll cutoff.
  • Participate in audits, policy reviews, and HR compliance assessments related to compensation and benefits.
  • Assist in the design and communication of compensation and benefits programs to enhance employee understanding and engagement.
  • Ensure all compensation and benefits policies are up-to-date and aligned with DOLE regulations and best practices.
  • Verify and cross-check the input details provided by the third-party provider for accuracy.
  • Administer payroll processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with cut-off schedules.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and strictly uphold confidentiality at all times.
  • Ensure accurate and on-time payment posting through online portals and electronic payment systems.
  • Handle SSS loan applications, maternity benefits, sickness notifications, and other government-related transactions.
  • Assist in annual audits or inspections by government agencies.
  • Validate attendance, overtime, and leave credits to ensure payroll accuracy.
  • Coordinate with the payroll provider or accountant for cut-off data submission.
  • Assist in the processing of final pay, adjustments, and other payroll-related concerns.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
  • At least two years of experience in compensation and benefits or payroll administration (specialist/associate level).
  • Strong knowledge of Philippine labor laws, government contributions, and payroll processes.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and confidentiality.
  • Proficient in HRIS or payroll systems, and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong knowledge in government remittances and loans benefits process
  • Understanding of government-mandated benefits (SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG) and reporting requirements.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Confidentiality:

This role requires strict adherence to confidentiality in handling employee records, and company data at all times.

Schedule: Mid- Shift 2pm to 11 pm PH Time – 8-hour work shift, excluded 1-hour break.

Work Setup: 4 days onsite, 1 day work-from-home

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php25, Php30,000.00 per month
