We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef specializing in Chinese cuisine to join our kitchen team. Candidate should have a deep knowledge of traditional and regional Chinese cooking techniques, as well as the creativity to incorporate modern interpretations of classic dishes. You will be responsible for preparing high-quality Chinese dishes, managing kitchen operations, and ensuring that every meal served meets our restaurant's standards for flavor, presentation, and quality.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Design and develop a diverse and creative menu showcasing traditional and modern Chinese dishes such as dim sum, Peking duck, stir-fries, dumplings, hot pots, and other regional specialties.
  • Prepare and cook Chinese dishes according to recipes, ensuring proper techniques for stir-frying, steaming, braising, and deep-frying.
  • Utilize authentic Chinese ingredients, sauces, and seasonings to create bold, flavorful dishes.
  • Oversee the execution of dishes during service, ensuring they are served at the proper temperature and with perfect presentation.
  • Supervise and lead kitchen staff, ensuring efficient operation of the kitchen during both peak and non-peak hours.
  • Provide guidance and training to junior kitchen staff, fostering an environment of teamwork, professionalism, and skill development.
  • Maintain an organized kitchen, ensuring all equipment and tools are in proper working order.
  • Oversee inventory control and ordering of Chinese ingredients, ensuring the quality and authenticity of supplies.
  • Maintain high standards for food quality, consistency, and presentation at all times.
  • Regularly taste dishes to ensure proper seasoning and flavor balance.
  • Inspect food preparation areas and ingredients to ensure all food safety and sanitation standards are met.
